Shopfronts & doors
Structural glazed facades for commercial buildings across the Midlands, from £8,500 plus VAT.
Free survey, no obligation.
Curtain walling hangs a glazed skin off the structural frame rather than sitting in an opening, which is why it is specified on multi-storey commercial work. Thermally broken mullions and transoms, with opening vents where ventilation is required.
Nothing is ordered until you have a written price and have agreed it. The survey costs you nothing and carries no obligation — plenty of people use it simply to find out what the job would involve before they budget for it.
Access affects the price more than most people expect. A pedestrianised street with a loading window changes the labour, not the materials.
Tell us the address and roughly what you need and a surveyor will come out at a time that suits the business.
On a parade where the landlord requires a consistent frontage, we work from the same section profiles and colour reference so the new unit reads as part of the row.
For a like-for-like replacement, usually not. You will need consent for a listed building, in a conservation area, or where you change the appearance of the frontage or add illuminated signage. We can tell you which applies at survey, though the application itself is between you and the council.
Yes. Overnight and closed-day installation is normal for units that cannot lose a trading day, and the premises are left secure at every stage of the work.
Yes. Shopfront glass must be toughened or laminated and kitemarked in a critical location, so panes are ordered to the surveyed size — which means a same-day swap is rarely possible on anything large. Boarding secures the opening in the meantime.
Any RAL colour on aluminium and steel. Anthracite grey (RAL 7016) and black (RAL 9005) are the most common on high-street units, but the powder coater will match whatever your brand standard specifies.
